Jinaan Jawad specializes in Chiropractic and Functional Medicine. He dedicates his practice to uncovering underlying factors of dysfunction and disease and applying systems biology to treat the whole person, giving patients a roadmap to Total Health and Wellness. He established the Total Health & Wellness Center in 2006.
Dr. Jawad is distinguished as a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board, Fellow of the American College of Functional Neurology, Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture, and a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner. He earned his Diplomate and Fellowships at the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies. In addition, Dr. Jawad completed his Doctorate degree in Chiropractic from the University of Health Sciences and obtained Fellowships in Acupuncture and Functional Neurology, certification in Functional Medicine, and a concentration in nutrition.
Targeted clinical testing and innovative functional medicine techniques allow Dr. Jawad to isolate the causes of symptoms and develop a treatment plan to restore health. This involves examining full blood panels, nutritional deficiencies, hormone imbalances and focusing on the way the body works in systems like genetics, toxicology, environment, behaviors, nutrition, and trauma.
Highly skilled with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Jawad helps a variety of patients heal from injury, increase athletic performance, and alleviate chronic health challenges. He is the son of hard-working medical professionals. His mother was a Nurse Anesthetist, and his father was a Cardiologist and Internal Medicine Practitioner in Oak Park. His goal is to heal his patients and continue the legacy his parents set forth before him. His practice serves Carol Stream, Wheaton, St. Charles, West Chicago, Glen Ellyn, and Winfield.
